AdvocacyThe advocacy program of the Ventana Wilderness Alliance seeks to preserve and restore the biological diversity, ecological integrity, cultural/historic resources, and wilderness qualities of the public lands of the northern Santa Lucia Mountains and Big Sur coast through regulatory, administrative, legislative, and judicial means, as well as encouraging informed community involvement.
VWA Advocacy projects include Youth in Wilderness, Wilderness Advocacy, Wild Rivers Campaign, Public Lands Livestock Grazing Reform, VWA Review and Comment on CEQA and NEPA Projects. and Fort Hunter Liggett Environmental Vigilance.
